In a joint statement, Mike Hedges AM and David Rees AM said:
“We would like to praising the courage, professionalism and sacrifice of our Armed Forces past, present and future. The Military personnel that are stationed here in Wales, together with their families, are an integral part of Welsh society, and most of us here cannot even begin to understand how service in the Armed Forces has impacted, and continues to impact on their lives.
“Armed Forces Day is an important opportunity to formally thank our service men and women, past and present and we look forward to attending events in the area.
“It’s also important to remember the demands on the families of those serving away from home. The Welsh Government is doing everything it can to help those families through a comprehensive programme of support.”
