A significant milestone was met today as Welsh Labour’s Deputy Minister for Skills and Technology Jeff Cuthbert announced that over 4,000 jobs have been filled and well over 5,000 job opportunities created by the Welsh Labour Government’s flagship employment programme Jobs Growth Wales.
Jobs Growth Wales is designed to tackle a key issue that young people face in their search for work, namely, how they can secure the relevant work experience employers require when they are recruiting.
As well as creating job opportunities for unemployed young people, the posts created by Jobs Growth Wales are new positions and therefore can help Welsh businesses grow.
Jobs Growth Wales is part funded by the European Social Fund by the Welsh Labour Government. Jobs Growth Wales we aim to create and fill 4,000 job opportunities a year for the next three years for young people aged 16-24.
